On 16th July 2023, Sunday, the Don Bosco Anbu Illam premises in MKB Nagar came alive with an overwhelming display of compassion and care. It was a day that will be etched in our memories forever – a day of hope, healing, and community spirit. We, Past Pupils of Don Bosco Egmore DB97,  in partnership with Ashvin Foundation and Don Bosco – Anbu Illam, would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers, medical staff, and participants for making our Free Medical Camp a monumental success.

The objective of the Free Medical Camp was simple but profound – to provide accessible healthcare to those in need and create a positive impact on the community. Little did we know that the response we received would exceed all expectations and redefine the power of collective compassion.

The foundation of this exceptional event was built on the unwavering support and dedication of our volunteers and medical staff. Their commitment to service and selflessness laid the groundwork for an atmosphere of warmth and care that permeated every corner of the camp.

We were privileged to have esteemed medical experts join hands with us for this noble cause. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to:

  • Dr. K. Ramesh – Senior Consultant Urologist and Robotic Surgeon at Apollo Main Hospital, Chennai.
  • Dr. Malarvizhi Ramesh – Specialist Anesthetist, Dunedin Public Hospital, Otago University Teaching Faculty, New Zealand.
  • Dr. Kannan Ramar – Critical Care Specialist, Pulmonologist, Sleep Medicine Specialist, Mayo Clinic Rochester, Minnesota.

Their generosity in sharing their expertise and time made a world of difference in the lives of those who sought medical attention at the camp. Their dedication to helping others inspired us all and reaffirmed the profound impact that individuals, coming together for a common cause, can have on society.

A special mention of gratitude goes to Fr. Nelson, the Assistant Director of Don Bosco Anbu Illam. His unwavering support and encouragement were instrumental in making the Free Medical Camp a reality. Fr. Nelson’s dedication to the welfare of the community and his vision of fostering positive change truly inspired us all.

With this camp, we have sown the seeds of compassion, and we vow to nurture them diligently. We are committed to continuing our efforts in creating a positive social impact and empowering those in need.

Ashvin Foundation will continue on this journey as we strive to make a lasting difference in the lives of those who need it the most. As we move forward, we carry with us the memories of this incredible day and the knowledge that when hearts unite, we can achieve wonders.

With gratitude and hope,

Past Pupils of Don Bosco Egmore (DB97) & The Ashvin Foundation Team
